　　磐石地震台工作人员王楠说，震中位于磐石市宝山乡与梅河口市双泉乡交界处附近，地震位置距磐石市中心约为19公里。

　　磐石市商贸城业主冯女士称，中午时分，大楼突然晃了两下，大概持续了3秒钟，一户业主柜台上的鞋都掉在了地上。发生地震后，二三十人跑出商场，而大多商户很镇定，仍然卖货，但不久，商场关了门。“很多人担心还会发生地震。”冯女士说，马路上的人也越聚越多。

　　据了解，吉林市的部分地区有震感。

　　地震台发布消息后，吉林市地震局迅速向市委市政府发了通报，监测预报处处长刘成山带相关专业人员赶到磐石进行实地勘测。

　　刘成山表示，此次地震震级低，是正常的能量释放，人们不必恐慌。目前，地震地区没有人员伤亡和房屋倒塌的情况报告。

　　据了解，梅河口周边4个乡镇和辉南周边4个乡镇居民有震感。
