“等待”这个话题，会让考生们浮想联翩脑洞大开，比如有人等飞机起飞，有人在车站等接人，有人等节日的到来，当然，也有人等雅思成绩。
之前，如果对试题熟悉的娃们，应该记得有一道题目是让大家描写一个surprise，如果当年你准备的语料是考试成绩让你大吃一惊，那么先前的素材就可以直接移植过来了!比如下面的素材：
I’d like to talk about the time when I waited for my test results. Here in China, there’s a thing calledhigh school entrance exam, which is the first bigturning pointfor Chinese students, because it determines whether we can attend a first-class high school. Every student works hard to get in some of the best high schools in my hometown, so the competition is fierce.
However, I was never the kind of students who can do well in tests. Usually I could only get about 400 out of 600 marks. So before the exam, I was depressed and stressed out, but I didn’t give up, I stayed up late every nightcramming for the exam, hoping that I could get a decent mark. I was extremely nervous on the day of the test. And I couldn’t get to sleep after that because I was so anxious about my grades. But they wouldn’t come out until 2 weeks after the exam. The wait was really killing me back then.
One day I was having lunch with my classmates, and they told me our grades came out. I thought, oh, the big moment has arrived, I was too nervous to call my mom, so I texted her. But after a while, she called me, telling me that I got 535. That moment, to be honest, I felt like I wason cloud nine/on top of the world.I just couldn’t believe it. This long wait has really given me the biggest pleasant surprise I’ve ever had.
