范文1:
My best friend, Linda, is regarded as a language genius. She is a broadcaster of our school's English Radio. When I pass by the office of English Radio Station, I'm always attracted by her beautiful and unique voice. Our favorite school English program is run by her, so we can hear her voice in campus every day. In this program, she will recommend some foreign songs as well as some famous literature to us. Besides, she will update both international and domestic news during the lunch break. She is not only good at English but also fluent in Spanish. Last summer vacation, a group of Spanish students came to visit our school and she was one of the students who greeted them. She could talk with these students like a native speaker, which was the reason I admire her so much. I once asked her about the secret of learning a language. She told me that watching dramas, listening to BBC news and talking to native speakers online would help me a lot to improve my oral English. That is something I should learn from her. I hope I can master a foreign language like her, since I would like to go abroad for further study.
范文2:
Ok, this story is totally made for one of my foreign colleagues call Alex, a German.I met him at our Annual Party last year and he made a speech in that party, as a representative of our new staffs. of course, he made it in Chinese.
He absolutely surprised me as he could speak Chinese fluently and communicate with us like a native speakers. His show impressed me so much that I regarded his as a language genius. After that, I got to know that, his second major in university was Modern Chinese and he told me that he started pretty much from scratch, and in the space of about only 2 years, he can now speak Chinese pretty good. It’s amazing he did that.
I once asked him how he could manage to learn it so quickly. He said one of reasons was that he always took the opportunity to talk with his Chinese mates and he never afraid of making mistake. Anther reason, probably, I guess is that he also had strong curiosity for the Chinese, which I noticed once when I saw him reading a story written by the Chinese writer Mo Yan during the leisure time.
Actually, It wasn’t something that he had been told to learn. It was simply out of his interest in Chinese that he choose to read it, and that made me realize why he had become such good at Chinese.
