37. 突然改变计划的经历

Well one time, I had to change my plan during a trip. If I remember right, it was last national holiday. I traveled to Hunan province with my parents. My dad suggested renting an RV to get to Hunan because we live pretty close. We had never travelled by an RV. But it sounded fun to go on a short vacation with this kind of vehicle. So my mom and I both agreed to this proposal185 right away.

The road trip was great on the first day. We visited some key tourist destinations in the RV.The next day, we were supposed to186 drive to Yuelu Mountain National Park. But when we arrived at the entrance, we found the road was closed. There had been a rainstorm a few days before. It was so disappointing that we had to turn back187 and change our plan. In the end, I searched online and decided to go to a small town nearby. There’s a beautiful lake there.

Luckily, the small town we visited was really great. We even spent a night at a camp site next to a lake and had a BBQ there. So, even though the sudden change in our plan made me panic188 at first, the result was good. Perhaps we should let it be189 when there is a surprise.
