To respond to this essay type, you had better take a stand [either for or against]=[either support or oppose]. That is, you may either agree with the proposed [Construction of a Large Shopping Mall] or you don't. However, in either case, you must give evidence [=reasons, examples and details] to support your position [=argument or claim] to be persuasive.

A persuasive essay may end where it begins, completing a full circle of 360 degrees. The conclusion paragraph is the mirror image of the introduction. In the introduction, we state a thesis while in the conclusion we restate the thesis. The movement in the first paragraph is from the general to the specific. The opposite is true with the last paragraph, moving from the specific to the general.
