》旧托福TWE题库185道中有六题比较题型，特别之处是比较一项建筑计划的利弊：你赞成还是反对在你的临近地区--建筑新的工厂？餐馆？商场？戏院？学校？大学？

回答此类问题不可以脚踏两条船。开头第一句就应该表明答题的立场作为文章的主题。不过，如果你的立场是赞成，却也让步说一说别人反对的原因。相反的，如果你的立场是反对，也照样给赞成者的意见说话的机会。在文章的结尾，又再度重申立场--赞成或反对。（这类题目不会有中间立场。）
