Part II:
1:Many people pretend that they understand modern art.
示例2:They always tell you what a picture is about.
示例3:I think that young children often appreciate modern pictures better than anyone else does.
示例4:She always tells me whether my pictures are good or not.
2.定语从句
示例:We like them in the same way that we like pretty curtain material.(that作为关系代词,替代的内容是in the way)
Part III:综合训练
I am an art student (1) I paint a lot of pictures. Many people pretend (2) they understand modern art (3) they always tell you what a picture is about. Of course, many pictures are not about anything (4) they are just pretty patterns. We like these pictures (5) the same way (6) we like pretty curtain material. I think (7) young children often appreciate modern pictures (8 well) than anyone else does in that they notice more. My sister is only seven, (9) she always tells me (10) my pictures are good or not. (11) she came into my room yesterday, I was (12 hang) a picture (13) the wall. She asked me what I was doing (14) I answered (15) I was (16 hang) that picture (17) the wall. I told her (18) was a new picture (19) asked (20) she liked it. She looked at it critically (21) a moment (22) then said (23) it was all right, (24) she then asked (25) it was upside down. I looked at it again (26) she was right: It was upside down!
