临阵试场的头号敌人应该算是限时的压迫。40分钟笔考大作文写250字，对于新兵初战，的确如同烈火折磨【烤鸭】群。雅思笔写比托福机考慢多了。相对托福iBT写作30分钟300字的考验，可谓彼此各有难处。由此观之，独立写作的效率速度，无论雅思或托福，必定是决胜考场极为重要的一环。

举世候选人都清楚自己怎样才能加快写作单项测验的速度。问题可能是【知易行难】。所有已【知】的写作理论终会变成多余的包袱，假设自己不去用【行】动来实践。【行】就是常常作【写】的练习。雅思中国网建议网友习作时不必动歪脑筋，应该乖乖的做【4P】行动，自己逼自己克服时间的压力。

学院派MLA [The Modern Language Association] 写作课程的4P是破题[prompt], 大纲[plan], 生产[produce], 校对[proofread].

【The Basic 4 P's That Can Help You Write Faster】

The four P's: the four steps to writing an essay for an audience (the readers) and a purpose ( persuading the readers) by proving your argument (thesis) based on evidence--reasons, examples, details (RED).

P1.>Prompt--Read the topic carefully. You may want to read it more than once to be sure what you are asked to write about.

Underline the three types of keywords and analyze the writing tasks--

a. the content words which tell you what the question (argument) is about.>the thesis statement

b. the limiting words which limit (narrow) the question to a focus.>the thesis being narrowed to a focus

c. the directive words which tell you what to do with the focus>the focus being divided into signpost points A and B

P2.>Plan--Think before you write. Making notes may help you plan logically for a mind-map about your thesis, structure and content.

a. A good essay is well focused in thesis.
