食品类的题目变化较多,学生需要注意审题,是讨论食品安全,还是快餐代替传统食物,还是进出口食品对环境文化等的影响。
(一)传统食品被快餐给家庭和社会带来的影响。Nowadays, people like to throw away damaged things and buy new ones while people in the past would always reuse them by repair. To what extent do you agree or disagree that this is a negative trend? Many people believe that countries should produce food for all population and imported food as little as possible. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Some people support the developments in agriculture such as factory farming and creations of new types of fruits and vegetables, while others oppose this view. Discuss both views and give your opinion.Fast food is becoming one part of people’s daily life everywhere, and this has had negative effects on our lifestyles and diet. Do you agree with this statement?Today, people often buy food transported from other countries. Do you think the benefits of this outweigh the drawbacks?Nowadays, middle class consumers in china are purchasing some usual luxury food items imported from overseas. This is due to the drop in transportation fares along with an increase in disposable income. However, the unfair competition in domestic food market and the potential increase in pollution are more evident in this trend. In my opinion, the negative effects of this practice far outweigh the positive aspects.Admittedly, importing certain food stuffs can offer individuals a wider selection of food. It is true that certain fruit or vegetables can only grow in particular areas, so food imports can be an economical solution to providing people the access to exotic food. Otherwise, customers have to visit the countries of origin in person to taste them. In this way, the flourishing of imported food stuffs is a natural product of the market economy where customers’ demand fosters the development of food importation. However, the benefits can be compromised by the potential drawbacks. Firstly, the popularity of imported food might add unnecessary competition to the local food industries. Domestic food is not necessarily inferior to those from abroad; however, the blind pursuit of overseas food can drive local food producers out of business. For example, millions of tonnes of milk from New Zealand is shipped to China, while local farmers have to throw away their milk because few people buy it. This is to some extent harmful to the local economy.Secondly, the excessive transportation of food has had consider effect on the deterioration of the environment. There is evidence to suggest that the shipping or delivery by air produces far greater exhaust fumes than the daily use of vehicles. In this case, food importation is a questionable practice, for it only benefits rich people who can afford the overpriced food, while it is the other with lower incomes that have to shoulder the consequences. In conclusion, the rise in the middle class spurs the imported food industry. Though this trend may only cater for some people’s needs, the potential drawback, such as unfair competition and environmental problems, might hinder the development of local economy.
